For a fourth straight year, OARS offers summer camps that provide safe and fun
sports and recreational activities with an emphasis on building teamwork, character and sportsmanship. Our Multi-Sport
camps (MS) teach campers the fundamentals of a various sports (basketball, soccer, volleyball,
floor hockey, baseball, etc) each day and end the week with a fun filled water day
full of wet slides and games.
Sports skill sessions are appropriate for both beginners and for kids with
sports experience. A strong emphasis is placed on conveying the importance of
sportsmanship and team building skills in a Christian environment. Furthermore,
time each day is dedicated to a large group Bible lesson focusing on the theme
of the day and a small group session to encourage more in-depth
discussion.
New this year! OARS
offers a Great
Games (GG) camp session where campers will enjoy and afternoon of fun group games, such as
capture the flag, scavenger hunts and wild and crazy water activities. The goal of all activities is to excite and entertain
campers, in addition to teach teamwork, sportsmanship skills and encourage interpersonal interaction and
communication within
a safe Christian environment. Like the Multi-Sport camp sessions, time each day is dedicated to a
large group Bible lesson focusing
on the theme of the day and a small group session to encourage more in-depth
discussion.
All three weeks of summer camps were a blast! The kids had a great time and got to learn some of the basics of lots of different sports. Check out the pictures in the gallery!
