The Caps game last week was a little anti-climatic. The Caps lost 4-1 and did tie it up 1-1 in the second period, but didn't have many chances to come back so it ended without much fanfare.
On a positive note, the 10 of us had a great time and the Caps post video highlights of each game on their website. You can find the video here (Needs Quicktime), along with the notebook, recap, and box score.
Tickets and vouchers are still available for $25/each. Contact Dan for more info.
Like hockey? Know someone who does? If so, come join us at the Washington Capitals game on December 22nd at 7:00 pm against the New Jersey Devils. If you can't make it then, you can instead get ticket vouchers, which are good for any regular season home game. The tickets are being sold at a discount rate of $25/each. Tickets would be a great stocking stuffer! :)
We were in the Gym a little bit last night and it's starting to look good. A lot of the construction materials are getting placed in their proper homes and we're getting some new walls! We are putting a racquetball surface on the walls in order to help protect them. There have already been some 20 yard touchdown passes thrown (and caught too!).... Arena football anyone?
Well the golf tournament was a little rainy, but there weren't many people who weren't smiling anyway. There was a great turnout and Renditions did a wonderful job in hosting us.
We had our first service at our new location on 9/14/06 and have now received a 30-day temporary occupancy for most of the building.
The OARS team is patiently waiting for the gym to be ready and we hope it will be soon! We have purchased some basketball hoops and poles for volleyball so we will be good to go shortly!
